FINANCE COORDINATOR
NATURE OF JOB:
Under general supervision of attorneys, performs complex administrative and financial duties, often related to firm infrastructure, billing, and support. May supervise, schedule and guide the activities of other firm personnel including part-time staff and interns. The principal emphasis is on coordinating financial operations of the office. Prioritizes, anticipates and resolves administrative issues. A high level of independent judgment, initiative, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills are required. Integrity, follow through and confidentiality are important personal characteristics.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
The following are core functions of the position:
* Process payroll twice monthly, accounts receivable, process accounts payable and cash flow for multiple entities
* Manage administrative and personnel filing systems
* Act as primary liaison with external contacts including service, telephone and tech providers
* Produce correspondence and reports for sending to clients and other key relationships
* Perform other related duties as assigned
* Support opening and closing procedures
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:
Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Previous administrative and financial experience a plus. Requires extensive knowledge of office practices and procedures; ability to handle multiple assignments and projects concurrently; knowledge of the principles and practices of office management; ability to analyze and interpret data, make independent decisions, plan, assign, review and evaluate the work of other personnel; demonstrated ability to use advanced techniques in word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software; and the ability to communicate effectively and interact well with people of many ages and diverse backgrounds.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with QuickBooks/Quicken, Timeslips, Microsoft and Corel programs a plus.
