Charitable/Non-Profit Organizations Intern

Leighton Legal Group, LLC participates in many organizations throughout the community of Bloomington/Normal. The attorneys and staff sit on many boards of non-profit organizations. These organizations include Easter Seals, NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), Boys and Girls Club, Inns of Court, and Women’s Division of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce. This intern will help the attorneys and staff with planning events, managing mailing lists, and dealing with day-to-day administrative tasks. The intern will be working on programs, publication, and projects, research/writing, marketing, organizational, and supporting their own work with typical office computer software.

This intern will also help staff with pro-bono Clients that the firm serves. Leighton Legal Group, LLC works with pro-bono Clients in an effort to help those who are not able to afford legal help.

All interns at Leighton Legal Group, LLC will take on the responsibility of completing a practice area book for the firm. Practice area book include forms and instructions on how to perform tasks within each area. Also, interns help in planning client development events including the annual Holiday Open House in December.
